101 in 1001

101 Things in 1001 Days

Here goes nothing!

I want to complete 101 things in 1001 days because I want to inspire myself to complete some goals that I've been mulling over in my head for a while now. I want to complete it for me

The challenge:
To complete 101 preset tasks in 1001 days!

The criteria:
These tasks must be measurable, quantifiable, and specific. These tasks must also involve some sort of effort, for example, 'make dinner' or 'watch a movie' are not really the sort of tasks I should be trying to accomplish.

Why 1001 days?
This is the same answer that I found when I was perusing the blogging world to view other 1001 lists: Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some of the bigger tasks on your list.

Normal - goals I haven't started
Strike through - goals I've completed
Italics - goals that are in progress
Red - goals I did not complete

Completed: 50/101

Some of these goals are silly (get my legs waxed) and some of these goals are very serious (anything wedding related) and some are more than slightly unrealistic (go for a run every week...hah!) but I'm going to give each and every one of them equal attention and focus. It's going to be so fun to look back on these goals when my 1001 days are up.

My personal criteria:

1. I left myself five freebies - I know there will be things that I wish I had put down, or things I wish I had thought of, and I don't want to fill in these spaces with things that don't matter to me.

2. I reserve the right to edit these goals as time passes. 1001 days is a very long time, and I know things in my life will really change in that period of time. Some things that are important to me now may not be important to me in a year and a half, and I don't want to back myself into a corner. However, I'm not going to use this as an excuse! I know there are goals I will not complete, and I intend to be honest about which ones those turn out to be.
